Melbourne Writer's Festival - "Harvey Krumpet and Veronica Bee"

2:15 session
“Harvey Krumpet and Veronica Bee” – Sarah Boland and Adam Elliot

Sarah Boland has written a novel for young adults called To Love Veronica Bee and has produced an accompanying ‘pop fiction’ website. She spends a lot of time visiting schools and working with students to create digital responses to her book. She helps students to identify important words and symbols in the text in order for them to produce personalised multimedia responses. Check out her website at www.bumble.com.au

Adam Elliot began by showing the first half of his claymation short film, Harvey Krumpet. He went on the speak about his other previous work (the Uncle, Cousin, Brother trilogy) and how he pursued his dream of becoming a film maker. An engaging and charismatic speaker.
